DBX GT, DBX S or DBX707?
The DBX GT adds a new emphasis on comfort and refinement. Here is how it sits alongside the DBX S and DBX707 when choosing an Aston Martin SUV.
The story in brief
- DBX GT: 727 PS with additional comfort and cabin refinement measures.
- DBX S: 727 PS with a more overt sporting specification and optional weight-saving components.
- DBX707: 707 PS; all three combine a twin-turbo V8 with all-wheel drive.
A new choice in the DBX range
Performance is only part of the decision
The DBX GT was announced on 1 October 2026, with first deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of the year. It gives buyers a distinct comfort-led specification within Aston Martin’s SUV family.
A headline power figure does not explain the whole difference. The GT and S share a 727 PS output, but the GT announcement concentrates on refinement while the S specification focuses more visibly on its sporting character.
Start with Grange’s Aston Martin offers, then ask the team to compare equipment on a proposed build or a particular car. Optional features need to be checked individually.
Cabin comfort
What the DBX GT adds
Aston Martin describes changes to the seats, acoustic insulation and suspension calibration in its DBX GT announcement. These include a memory-foam layer in the seats, additional acoustic treatment and revised damping.
Those details give you a useful appointment checklist. Spend time in both front and rear seats, compare the seat adjustment and ask the retailer to explain the comfort equipment on the specific car. A brochure description cannot decide which seating position feels right for you.
The UK specification lists 638 litres of total loadspace, or 491 litres beneath the load shelf. That distinction matters when comparing boot figures: use the measurement that reflects how you actually carry luggage.

The sporting alternative
DBX S: look beyond the badge
Aston Martin’s DBX S information identifies optional magnesium wheels and a carbon-fibre roof as part of its approach to reducing weight. The roof saves 18 kg; the magnesium wheels save 19 kg compared with the stated standard wheel specification.
These are options, so do not assume every DBX S includes them. If they matter to you, ask for a build specification that identifies them explicitly. Exterior finishes, upholstery and wheel choices are also worth comparing in person.
For buyers considering a DBX707 already available, the individual car’s equipment, condition and availability may be as important as the newer model designation. Grange can help you compare the cars actually under consideration.
Before your appointment
Make the comparison personal
Tell the team how many people normally travel with you, what you carry and which optional equipment is essential. Ask to compare rear-seat access and luggage space as well as the driving position.
- Confirm the exact build. Check seats, wheels, roof and audio equipment on the proposed car.
- Bring your usual requirements. Child-seat access and luggage needs are useful points to discuss.
- Ask about availability. Confirm delivery expectations and demonstrators before travelling.
- Compare an actual quotation. Use the same specification assumptions when considering different DBX versions.
