A specialist award
A result built on towing tests
The INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster has been named Pick-Up Towcar of the Year by the Caravan and Motorhome Club. The award carries the 2027 title, with the result announced in September 2026.
The competition assessed 42 vehicles at UTAC Millbrook in Bedfordshire. Its programme covers touring practicality as well as towing performance, making this a useful award for anyone looking beyond the headline towing figure.

The published test
What the figures tell you
The Club’s published test specification is a 3.0-litre diesel Quartermaster with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. It lists a test caravan weighing 2,393 kg, providing a clearer picture of the combination assessed than the category title alone.
The Quartermaster’s manufacturer-rated maximum braked towing capacity is up to 3,500 kg. Treat that as the vehicle’s towing ceiling: your actual combination also needs to fit the vehicle’s plated gross and train weights, the towbar and the caravan’s own limits.
If you already own a caravan, bring its weight details when you speak to Grange. The team can help you identify the relevant Quartermaster specification and towing equipment before you make your choice.

Room for the rest of the trip
A pick-up with a purpose
The Quartermaster adds an open load bed to the Grenadier’s five-seat cabin. That gives you a separate place for bulky outdoor equipment while keeping passengers together inside.
Its permanent four-wheel-drive system, ladder-frame construction and two-speed transfer case support the vehicle’s working and touring roles. Available load-bed accessories let you tailor how equipment is carried; check compatibility and the weight of the accessories as part of your specification.
A new UK Quartermaster also comes with INEOS’s five-year, unlimited-mileage mechanical warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Grange can discuss the servicing and aftersales support alongside your vehicle enquiry.
