The INEOS Grenadier has been named Adventure Car of the Year at the 2026 News UK Motor Awards. The judging panel brings together motoring writers from The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun and Luxx.
The judges highlighted the latest steering changes alongside the vehicle’s ability to tackle challenging terrain. That combination is central to the Grenadier’s appeal: a working 4×4 with the equipment and space for life beyond the expedition.

What has changed for 2026?
INEOS has fitted a new variable-ratio steering box. The changes around the straight-ahead position are designed to give a more precise response, while preserving the steering ratio at the ends of its travel for off-road use.
The manufacturer also reports a turning circle reduced by around 5%. It is a practical improvement to consider if your week includes town driving, narrow lanes or tighter access to a trail.

The Station Wagon’s foundations include a full box-section ladder frame, permanent four-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. A centre differential lock is standard; front and rear differential locks depend on the chosen specification.
