Stingray, E-Ray or Z06?

Three ways into the right-hand-drive Corvette range, each with its own powertrain. Compare the UK figures and see what has changed in the 2026 cabin.

The story in brief

  • UK choice: Stingray from £97,760, E-Ray from £158,720 and Z06 from £182,920, on the quoted coupe specifications.
  • Different powertrains: V8 rear-wheel drive, V8 hybrid all-wheel drive, or the Z06’s high-revving V8.
  • 2026 cabin: Chevrolet shows a revised layout with three driver-focused displays.

Choose the powertrain first

The three UK Corvettes explained

Stingray uses a 6.2-litre V8 driving the rear wheels. E-Ray combines a 6.2-litre V8 with an electric motor at the front axle. Z06 uses a naturally aspirated 5.5-litre flat-plane-crank V8.

That is a more useful starting point than arranging the cars only by price. E-Ray’s electric motor makes it an all-wheel-drive hybrid, while the Z06’s distinctive engine is the centre of its specification.

All three are represented in the UK right-hand-drive range. Corvette Birmingham can explain current cars, available body styles and the exact build you are considering.

The visible 2026 update

A new layout around the driver

Chevrolet’s current UK Stingray page illustrates the revised cabin: a 14-inch driver display, a 12.7-inch central screen and a 6.6-inch auxiliary touchscreen.

This is a change worth seeing rather than reading about in a specification list. During your appointment, compare the driving position, screen arrangement and controls on the particular car. Ask the team to confirm its model year and equipment.

If you are comparing a new 2026 car with earlier stock, check the dashboard layout and equipment of both cars. This helps keep the comparison tied to the vehicles available.

Petrol V8 or hybrid

Does E-Ray need plugging in?

No. E-Ray’s hybrid system does not use an external charging cable. Chevrolet describes battery replenishment through regenerative braking and the car’s powertrain.

Its front electric motor adds another driven axle. Chevrolet also describes a low-speed Stealth Mode for limited electric driving; it is not a substitute for the electric range of a plug-in hybrid.

If you prefer a conventional rear-wheel-drive V8 specification, compare Stingray and Z06 directly. The Z06’s engine revs to 8,600 rpm according to Chevrolet; Stingray remains the lower-priced entry to the UK coupe range.

Body style and specification

Coupe or convertible?

The coupe and convertible create another choice within the range. Chevrolet’s quoted UK convertible prices start at £102,870 for Stingray 2LT, £164,630 for E-Ray 3LZ and £186,940 for Z06 3LZ.

Before comparing quotations, decide which body style and trim you want. Then check roof equipment, wheel specification, cabin finish and any performance options on the individual car.

Tell the Birmingham team what you want to compare so stock and demonstrator availability can be checked ahead of your visit.
