Wold-Class Career
From winning the prestigious McLaren BRDC Award to becoming a three-time Le Mans Winner, Darren Turner has had a long and distinguished racing career across multiple categories in single-seaters, touring cars and sports cars.
Darren also worked for many years as a test driver for the McLaren F1 Team alongside his busy racing career.
In 2017, after winning Le Mans, Darren won the Woolf Barnato Trophy, for the second year in succession, during the annual British Racing Drivers’ Club Awards in London.
On receiving the award he said, “To receive an award from the BRDC always has special significance as a driver because it is a recognition from your peers. To have the appreciation of your fellow drivers, who know exactly what it takes to excel at any level in our sport, is a great honour and one to be cherished.”
