Corvette's right-hand drive models impress in first reviews

For the first time, UK drivers can experience the excitement of Corvette’s C8 line-up – the new E-Ray, Stingray and Z06 – in right-hand drive and tailored for British roads.

Now available to test drive through Corvette’s UK dealer network, some of the UK’s most revered motoring publications were invited to get behind the wheel of these striking models – here’s what they had to say.

E-Ray: Electrified excitement

Having debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2025, all eyes were on the Corvette E-Ray and the opportunity to experience the first-ever V8 hybrid, all-wheel-drive Corvette.

Car commends the E-Ray’s dynamics, noting that its body control and suppleness result in a comfortable and forgiving ride. On the UK’s notoriously abrasive roads, Car believes these qualities give the E-Ray a clear edge over its closest European rivals.

Auto Express awards the E-Ray 4.5 stars, while tech outlet WIRED rates it 8/10, agreeing on the exemplary body control and ride quality, and is impressed with the overall refinement and the steering feel.

Meanwhile, Top Gear delights in E-Ray’s performance and its electronically enhanced torque curve, along with the traction to translate that to the road. The electrification of the front axle helps make it the fastest accelerating Corvette in the UK to date, achieving 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

Autocar also commends its pace and the confidence-instilling four-wheel drive, rating the E-Ray four stars. Agreeing on its delivery of dynamic security, PistonHeads praises its tautness and balance of fun and surefootedness that provides assurance for E-Ray’s all-year-round usability on UK roads.

Undeniable love is expressed for the guttural roar and charm of the ‘small block’, 6.2-liter V8, which is accompanied by enthusiasm for the electric motor that brings its own unique sound signature. The electronic Stealth Mode, which can be engaged to quietly leave or return home, is also lauded by PistonHeads.

Track-focused thrills and everyday engagement

Alongside the E-Ray, the journalists experienced the right-hand drive Z06 and Stingray, with both receiving plaudits for their performance, dynamics, approachability, and character.

The track-inspired Corvette Z06 is described as a fierce, raw, and thrilling machine by Car. PistonHeads calls it one of the most exciting cars of 2025; its insatiable energy delivering a scintillating drive and offering the promise of circuit performance, while proving relaxing on the motorway and around town.

The Z06’s thundering, naturally aspirated, 5.5-liter V8 engine, approachable chassis and firm but supple ride that is suited to daily driving was praised by Complete Car. Additionally, Motoring Research highlights the multiple driving modes to adjust its characteristics to the road – or track – and configurable ‘Z’ mode for complete personalization.

Meanwhile, the Corvette Stingray achieves a 4.5-star rating from CarThrottle, which applauded its sharp throttle response and decisive eight-speed dual clutch gearbox. Car loves Stingray’s power, handling, and charisma, charmed by its agility and light-footedness.

Car Enthusiast echoes the appreciation for the Stingray’s blistering pace and lightning-quick throttle response, also enthusing about its poised steering, front-to-rear balance and refinement.

Test drives are now available through Grange Corvette Birmingham.
