A seven-seat SUV built around space
The Chevrolet Suburban High Country makes a clear case for going large: room for passengers across three rows, without treating luggage as an afterthought. It is a full-size American SUV for drivers who want to assess people-carrying and carrying capacity together.
Our GMSV Birmingham team can take you through the UK specification and the details visible in these showroom photographs. From the long side profile to the second-row chairs and rear bench, this is a vehicle best understood at full scale.
Suburban is the long-body choice in Chevrolet’s UK GMSV SUV range. It is separate from the smaller Tahoe, and this guide follows the 6.2-litre V8 High Country specification published for the UK.

Figures: Grange Suburban and GMSV UK technical guide, dated 30 September 2026 and checked 19 October 2026. The UK source does not define a seven-seat seating configuration for its 4,092-litre maximum, so it must not be read as luggage space with passengers in every row. V8 power, air suspension and four-wheel drive
High Country’s 6.2-litre petrol V8 produces 420bhp and 624Nm, matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is part of the published UK specification.
Dynamic Fuel Management allows the engine to deactivate cylinders under suitable operating conditions. This is a petrol V8 rather than a plug-in hybrid, so there is no traction battery to recharge as part of your driving routine.
The UK guide lists Magnetic Ride Control, front and rear air suspension and a mechanical limited-slip differential. Those chassis features are an important part of the High Country specification to discuss alongside wheels and tyres.
The standard wheels measure 22 inches, with 24-inch wheels listed as an option. Your preferred wheel design should be considered with the way you plan to use the vehicle, rather than as a styling decision alone.
A cabin for driver and passengers
The dashboard combines a digital driving display with a 17.7-inch central touchscreen. The photographed cockpit also shows the physical climate controls beneath it, helping you understand the layout before your visit.
This UK-supplied Suburban is left-hand drive. Sit in the driving position, adjust the seat and mirrors, and ask the team to demonstrate the equipment and connected functions available on the specific vehicle.
The console provides cupholders, storage and a clearly defined area for your phone. The useful question is how the controls fit your day-to-day routine: navigation, climate settings, device connections and switching between drivers.
High Country’s published front-seat equipment includes heating, ventilation and eight-way power adjustment. The UK guide lists perforated leather in Jet Black or Jet Black/Mocha, with real-wood interior trim and High Country detailing.
Seven seats without overlooking the third row
Grange’s Suburban specification uses a 2-2-3 seating layout: two front seats, two individual second-row chairs and a three-person rear bench. The photographs show the second-row seating and the space dedicated to the third row.
For family use, assess the seat positions you need, the route to the rear bench and any child-seat arrangements with the team. For journeys with adult guests, try the cabin with those passengers rather than judging it from an exterior photograph.
The third-row bench provides the final three passenger places. Ask the team to show you the access route and assess the space with the people who will use it.
Panoramic roof, entertainment and everyday convenience
A panoramic sunroof and power-retractable side steps are included in the published UK High Country equipment. Both are worth trying during a viewing: the roof changes the feel of the cabin, while the steps help you assess entry and exit.
The GMSV UK guide also lists rear-seat entertainment for Suburban. Our photographs include a screen fitted behind a front seat; ask the team to demonstrate the functions, connections and equipment on the car you select.
These are useful details to consider if you regularly travel with several passengers. The centre console, seat adjustment and rear entertainment are easier to evaluate when you can move through the cabin yourself.

Luggage space that deserves a closer look
With every passenger seat in use, Grange quotes up to 1,175 litres of luggage space. That makes the all-seats-up figure the natural starting point if you expect to travel with seven people and their bags.
The much larger 4,092-litre maximum cargo figure published by GMSV UK refers to a cargo configuration. It is not a seven-seat boot measurement, and the UK source does not specify the exact seat arrangement used for that maximum.
At 5,748mm long and 2,057mm wide before allowing for mirrors, Suburban needs a suitable parking space. Measure your garage or driveway, consider turning access, and check the room needed to open the doors and tailgate.
The Max Trailering Package is listed as equipment, but a package name is not a UK towing entitlement. If towing matters to you, ask Grange to confirm the individual vehicle’s plated limits, approved coupling and relevant weight figures.
Your UK specification and ownership support
The published exterior colours are Polar White Tricoat, Dark Ash Metallic, Black, Radiant Red Tintcoat, Sterling Gray Metallic and Lakeshore Blue Metallic. Availability and option costs should be confirmed for the vehicle you choose.
GMSV UK-supplied vehicles include a three-year unlimited-mileage warranty with roadside assistance, subject to the applicable terms. The GMSV process covers required UK preparation, with local access to servicing, parts and ownership support.

Your questions answered
Is the Chevrolet Suburban available in the UK?
Grange lists Suburban High Country for UK enquiries, ordering and test-drive bookings through GMSV. Contact GMSV Birmingham to confirm the vehicle, specification and appointment availability.
Is the UK Suburban right-hand drive?
No. Grange’s Suburban models are left-hand drive.
How much luggage space is available with seven seats?
Grange quotes up to 1,175 litres with all seven seats in place. The separate 4,092-litre maximum cargo figure is not an all-seats-up measurement.
What is the UK base price?
The GMSV UK guide dated 30 September 2026 lists Suburban High Country from £105,000 including VAT before options. Obtain a full Grange quotation for your selected build and applicable on-the-road costs.
Does High Country have air suspension?
Yes. The published UK High Country guide lists front and rear air suspension and Magnetic Ride Control, alongside a mechanical limited-slip differential.
Are the fuel-economy and towing figures the same as a US car?
Do not transfer US ratings to a UK-supplied vehicle. GMSV UK describes its consumption and CO₂ data as calculated, not officially WLTP-tested, and does not publish a numeric UK towing limit for this Suburban record. Ask for the individual vehicle documentation.
