American luxury, with a Birmingham home

The Cadillac Escalade brings a different sense of scale to the luxury SUV. Its upright proportions, vertical lighting and substantial grille give it a presence that is immediately recognisable; inside, the emphasis shifts to space, comfort and technology.

At GMSV Birmingham, part of Grange, you can discuss the UK-supplied Escalade with a local team and see the details that matter when choosing a large American vehicle. Our photographs take you from its exterior into the driving position, passenger seating and luggage area.

This guide covers the standard-length, naturally aspirated V8 Escalade. The longer Escalade ESV and supercharged Escalade-V are separate models, with different dimensions or performance specifications.

UK sources: Grange Escalade and GMSV UK technical guide, dated 30 September 2026 and checked 19 October 2026. GMSV lists minor dimensional differences between builds: 5,381–5,382mm long and 2,059–2,060mm body width. The base price is not a personalised on-the-road quotation; ask our team for the complete vehicle price.

A V8 matched to relaxed progress

The 6.2-litre petrol V8 develops 420bhp and 624Nm. A 10-speed automatic transmission sends that performance to all four wheels, while Dynamic Fuel Management can deactivate cylinders when the operating conditions allow.

This is a conventional petrol V8, so it does not need plugging in. For drivers choosing Escalade for long journeys, passenger transport or personal use, the appeal is the combination of substantial torque and a spacious cabin.

Suspension equipment varies by specification: Platinum Luxury lists Magnetic Ride Control, while Sport Platinum lists Adaptive Ride Control. Discuss the exact chassis specification of the vehicle you are considering rather than assuming every Escalade has the same suspension.

A cockpit that reaches across the cabin

The current Platinum Luxury specification lists a 55-inch curved dashboard display. The broad digital surface brings vehicle information and infotainment into a design that continues towards the front passenger.

The photographs show the left-hand-drive driving position and the passenger side of the display. A separate centre-console control area provides another useful point to explore during a showroom demonstration.

Check the model year as well as the trim name: GMSV UK’s published Sport Platinum record lists an earlier 38-inch combined OLED display. Our team can confirm the screen, software and UK-connected functions fitted to the particular car you select.

Seven seats, with room to settle in

The 2-2-3 seating arrangement places two individual seats in the second row and a three-seat bench behind them. That gives you a useful starting point for considering family travel, adult passengers or journeys with guests.

Try the second-row access, the route into the third row and the seating positions you expect to use regularly. Bring any child seats you need the team to help you check, and allow time to assess the cabin with your own passengers.

The light-coloured upholstery and individual second-row chairs in our photographs show how different the Escalade feels from a conventional five-seat SUV. Upholstery, seating functions and rear entertainment depend on the ordered build.

Platinum Luxury or Sport Platinum?

Both UK equipment lines pair the 6.2-litre V8 with a 10-speed automatic. The distinction is in the cabin, chassis and convenience equipment, so it is worth working through the specification alongside your intended use.

Platinum Luxury

  • 55-inch curved dashboard display
  • 12-way powered front seats with heating and ventilation
  • Perforated or quilted leather front-seat upholstery
  • Magnetic Ride Control
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Camera rear-view mirror with washer
  • Integrated trailer brake controller and trailering assistance
  • Panoramic glass sunroof with powered shade

Sport Platinum

  • 16-way powered, heated and ventilated front seats with massage
  • Semi-aniline leather front-seat upholstery
  • Colour head-up display and HD Surround Vision
  • AKG Studio Reference audio with 36 speakers
  • Ambient cabin lighting
  • Adaptive Ride Control and automatic locking rear differential
  • 22-inch polished 12-spoke wheels with Dark Android finish
  • Hands-free tailgate, Ultraview sunroof and power-retractable steps

Equipment above follows the published UK trim records, which may represent different model-year builds. The Sport Platinum record’s 38-inch display is distinct from Platinum Luxury’s 55-inch display; confirm the complete build sheet before ordering.

Comfort is in the details

Heated and ventilated front seats are listed for both equipment lines. Sport Platinum adds the more adjustable front seats and massage functions, while the photographed seat controls show why it is useful to spend time setting up your driving position.

The GMSV UK options guide also lists rear-seat entertainment with two 12.6-inch screens for Platinum Luxury. The rear screen pictured below is fitted to the photographed car; it is a feature to specify or check rather than assume is standard across every vehicle.

Available executive second-row seating with folding tables and massage provides a further route to a more passenger-focused cabin. Ask about its availability and the resulting seating specification for your preferred build.

Space for luggage, as well as people

Grange quotes up to 722 litres of boot space with all seven seats in place. That is the relevant figure if you regularly carry passengers in every row and still need room for bags.

An in-person visit lets you check the load opening, luggage height and how the rear seating works for your routine. If you travel with a particular pushchair, set of cases or other bulky equipment, tell the team before your appointment.

At approximately 5.38m long and 2.38m wide including mirrors, Escalade also deserves a practical parking check. Measure your driveway or garage and allow space to open doors and use the tailgate.

Colours, ownership and your next step

The published UK colour selection includes Vibrant White Tricoat, Galactic Gray Metallic, Black Raven, Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic and Deep Sea Metallic. Confirm paint availability, upholstery combinations and any additional cost with the team.

GMSV UK-supplied vehicles include a three-year unlimited-mileage warranty and roadside assistance, subject to the applicable terms. UK vehicle appraisal, required modifications and preparation form part of the GMSV supply process, with a UK network for servicing and parts support.

Your questions answered

Is the UK Cadillac Escalade right-hand drive?

No. Grange’s UK Escalade models are left-hand drive. A showroom visit is a useful way to assess the driving position and visibility.

How many seats and how much boot space does it have?

The published Grange specification has seven seats in a 2-2-3 layout and quotes up to 722 litres of luggage space with all seven seats in place.

Does every Escalade have the 55-inch display?

The current UK Platinum Luxury record lists the 55-inch display. GMSV UK’s Sport Platinum record lists a 38-inch combined OLED system, so confirm the model year and individual build specification.

What is the UK starting price?

GMSV UK’s technical guide dated 30 September 2026 lists both Platinum Luxury and Sport Platinum from £155,000 including VAT before options. Ask Grange for a full quotation covering your chosen vehicle and applicable on-the-road costs.

Can I use US towing and fuel-economy figures for a UK car?

Use the documentation for the individual UK-supplied vehicle. The UK source’s consumption and CO₂ figures are calculated rather than officially WLTP-tested; towing, payload and coupling limits must also be confirmed for the particular vehicle.

Where can I enquire about an Escalade near Birmingham?

Contact GMSV Birmingham on Kenilworth Road, Hampton in Arden, B92 0LR. The sales number is 01675 580 356.
