Bentley Past Models
Bentley's DNA is imprinted on every single luxury model they design and engineer to perfection.
At Grange, we thought we would look back over the rich history of Bentley's automotive DNA and discover how the same luxury design language is expressed in every single vehicle from the first Bentley model, right up to the extraordinary Bentley models on the market today some 100 years later.
The Continental Range (2003-2017)
The stunning two-door Bentley Continental was revealed in the early 21st century – a car that created a new category of its own, one that combined power, style and luxury in the form of a grand tourer.
Launched in 2003, only a single W12 model was available. However, a convertible model soon followed and then in 2009, the first Bentley Continental Supersports was engineered to deliver a truly exhilarating drive, more thrilling than ever before.
The second generation was released in 2010, where Bentley redesigned the original model and delivered it with a 4.0-litre V8 engine. The category grew and grew with more models added in the years that followed, tailoring to different driving needs across the world. This included a race-track inspired model – the Continental GT3-R, released in 2014, and then again in 2017.
The Arnage Range
Enjoying extraordinary success in its era, the Arnage range became somewhat of a limited-edition range. First debuting in 1998, the four-door Bentley Arnage made an undeniable sophisticated statement on the road. There were five models within the range, with the final series only producing 150 cars. Models in the series included:
- The Arnage
- The Arnage
- The Arnage RL
- The Arnage T
- The Arnage Final Series
The Azure
An unmatchable model in Bentley history – the Bentley Azure convertible was impressive in performance, potency and style alike. The original model debuted in 1995 and continued in production until 2003 before the second generation was announced in 2005. The second generation brought an increased level of performance to the grand tourer. This resulted in an end-of-life limited edition Bentley Azure T model in 2009.
Bentley Brooklands
Original production began in 1993, but 2007 welcomed the triumphant return of the Bentley Brooklands. Inspired by impressive power and truly potent coupés, the Bentley Brooklands was equipped with the most powerful V8 engine ever created by Bentley - meaning top speeds of 184mph were achievable.
The Continental Flying Spur
In 2005, the four-door grand tourer was introduced as the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, designed with a 6-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine, and a top speed of 190mph. With an undeniably striking road presence, its steering, suspension and chassis also delivered an undeniably thrilling, yet luxurious driving experience – the best in its class. There were three models available in the range:
- The Continental Flying Spur
- The Continental Flying Spur Speed
- The Continental Flying Spur Series 51
