Alpine reveals A110 FUTURE ahead of Goodwood Festival of Speed premiere

  • Alpine names its third-generation Alpine A110 mule (development car) A110 FUTURE
  • The Mule will run every day, from July 9 to 12, at the world-famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in England
  • Alpine's strongest-ever Goodwood presence includes full model range, starring vehicles that have shaped the brand's history and five-strong BWT Alpine Formula One Team driver line-up

Alpine is revealing today the eye-catching mule (development car) of the third generation Alpine A110 it will debut at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed: Alpine A110 FUTURE.  Named to reflect its role in shaping the third generation of the iconic Alpine A110 sportscar, Alpine A110 FUTURE will be the centrepiece of the brand's strongest-ever presence at the world-famous event.

Alpine A110 FUTURE development mule has been built to test the technology that will power the third-generation A110, and visitors to Goodwood (9-12 July) will be able to see it in action every day across the four-day festival. That third-generation A110 will be the world's first true EV sportscar, underpinned by the all-new Alpine Performance Platform (APP), designed to remain true to Alpine's DNA while outperforming the best of today's combustion sports cars.

The Alpine Performance Platform has been engineered to address every technical challenge of creating a genuine EV sportscar without compromise. An advanced aluminium architecture provides the dynamic responsiveness that defines Alpine. Two battery packs are positioned to respect the 40/60% front:rear balance of a true sports car, using 800V cell-to-pack technology with high energy density cells to reduce weight and charging time. A new rear dual e-motor 3-in-1 e-axle with SiC inverter delivers exceptional torque, performance and ultrafast control, while full aluminium suspension set-up and new integrated braking and steering systems complete the picture.

This year's Festival of Speed will celebrate the heritage that makes A110 FUTURE's arrival so significant. Landmark models tracing the A110's evolution from rally icon to electric pioneer will tell the story of Alpine's past, present and future. Joining them on track and on the Alpine stand will be two models driving the brand's record-breaking growth: the A290, Alpine's best-selling electric hot hatch, and the A390, the 470hp five-seat sport fastback. A major highlight will be the Alpine Moment on Thursday 9 July, when the “Brand Parade” brings together the A110 FUTURE and landmark A110 models, with an E20 Formula One car demonstration run providing a memorable finale.

Alpine's Goodwood presence will extend beyond its cars. Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will headline a five-strong BWT Alpine Formula One Team driver line-up, joined by Alpine Academy and reserve drivers Nina Gademan, Paul Aron and Alex Dunne. The Alpine stand will be a focal point throughout the four days, with interactive simulators, daily driver talks and signing sessions, and lunchtime DJ sets.

First staged in 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is the world's largest automotive garden party, with more than 600 cars and motorcycles spanning the history of motoring and motorsport taking to the hill each year, alongside many of the sport's most legendary figures.
