The Stonic is Kia's first small SUV, and it brings the brand's unique, multi-award-winning styling to the B-SUV class. Buyers are moving into B-SUVs from superminis, small MPVs and three-door compact hatchbacks, with the B-SUV market in Europe is expected to double to more than two million a year by 2020. Priced from £16,295 to £20,495, there are five versions based on two trim lines and three powertrains. It features a suite of connectivity and electronic driver assistance systems and a fuel economy of up to 67.3mpg, with CO2 emissions as low as 109g/km. Stonic is based on the latest Rio supermini and is powered by high-efficiency, high-technology petrol and diesel powertrains from Rio and the cee'd family.
Oliver Hoffmann took over as Head of Technical Development at Audi Sport GmbH on October 1. He succeeds Stephan Reil in this role, and is now responsible for the upcoming product campaign from the Audi subsidiary brand. Most recently, 40-year-old liver Hoffmann worked on powertrain development at AUDI AG. Previously, his roles included quality management at Automobili Lamborghini and at the Audi factory in Gy?er, Hungary. "With the appointment of Oliver Hoffmann, we have gained a highly qualified manager for the Technical Development division," says Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Audi Sport GmbH. "With his experience and skills, Hoffmann will help to realise the expansion of the Audi Sport brand."
Renault has strengthened its Kadjar crossover line-up with the addition of a new high-power petrol engine and a new transmission option that are both available to order now with UK deliveries commencing later this month. As the most powerful engine in the Kadjar range, the 165hp turbo-charged petrol engine provides a maximum speed of 127mph and a 0-60mph time of 9.2 seconds and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The newest engine to be available on Kadjar can be specified from Dynamique Nav trim level upwards. The introduction of the dCi 130 Auto X-Tronic offers buyers greater choice when it comes to automatic transmissions as well as a smoother journey for all occupants. The Auto X-Tronic is a Continuously Variable Transmission mated to the Kadjar's popular 1.6 diesel engine. It is also available from Dynamique Nav upwards. With the launch of these new engine and transmission options, Renault Kadjar customers are now able to choose from a total of four engines and three transmissions across five trim levels.
Parkers.co.uk, has announced the Toyota C-HR as the winner in the Parkers New Car Awards 2018. The awards are launched this year, and reflect the views of Britain's car-buying public. The winners were chosen based on the buying habits of the website's 2.9+ million users actively involved in the buying process. Kia Motors will unveil a new concept car at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show on 12 September that has been reworked and reimagined for a new generation of driver. Fully designed at Kia's European design centre in Frankfurt, this concept car presents a new body type for Kia that keeps the extended hot hatch styling of the current cee'd model, but combining it with a dash of real-world versatility. It is a bold vision for a potential member of the next-generation cee'd family. It will be unveiled on the Kia stand, located in Hall 9 of the Frankfurt Messe exhibition centre.

Continental Tyre Group Ltd has announced its new Communications Officer Sam Kelly. Sam recently graduated from Bournemouth University with a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Communication and Media. He will be offering internal and external communications support for the UK and Ireland. Talking about the role at Continental, Sam said; "The automotive industry has always appealed to me.
